Default Aparments in downtown Appleton

Hello! I need help from someone who knows Appleton very well. I've just accepted a job offer and moving to Appleton. I'm trying to search online for apartments at the moment and will be in town soon to do some proper apartment hunting. My question is this: How likely is it to find housing (2 br apartment) either on or around College Ave.? (...either above shops on College Ave, or in very close-by neighborhoods?) I should be able to afford around $650.00 per month. Thanks!

650/mo right on College ave is very doable. One issuse that you may run into is that many of the landlords on College Ave only advertise their rentals with a sign in a window of the store below the apt. or in the doorway leading up to the apt. which can make finding available rentals a little difficult.
Just my 2 cents but I'd look in the areas just off College Ave. Being right on College can get old quick. Drunk people puking and pee in your doorway isn't what I want to come home too.

Thanks Duk123! Yeah...I hadn't thought about the drunks. Pee pee in the doorway ...No thanks. Well, I shall run up and down the avenue tomorrow when I'm there and at least see whether any signs are up. Thanks again for the tip -- I appreciate it!
