I grew up in Stevens Point/Amherst area. My Dad lives in Wausau, and I lived there for awhile as well. I prefer Point to Wausau. Although I don't think highly of the Point schools, especially SPASH, it just plain scares me. I don't know anything about the Wausau schools. Are you interested at all in a smaller town in those areas? Marathon is a nice small town with a good school, and Amherst is a wonderful town! Many updates have been made to the school in the last 13 years, and it's a great facility with great teachers. There are quite a few people that commute to Wausau from Amherst, it's not a bad drive at all.
