Thanks GreggB...I find your posts to be a reliable source of information on Wisconsin...always fair and concise. My dream is to get there one day, even if it's just for the summers. Thanks for always being so positive!

Thank You for the compliment. BTW, I am moving back to Wisconsin. I hope to be able to eventually move to La Crosse. Will have to spend a little time in Appleton first.

Sounds good, but you better keep that winter home in Lost Wages, Gregg B. Even with global warming, WI winters are still brutal.
After all that trash talkin, are you sure your not sneaking back into Appleton??
BTW, If I ever moved back to WI, LaCrosse would be my choice, great pick!

And Wisconsin winters will most likely ALWAYS be brutal. Sneaking back to Appleton?? Naw--don't have to really. It is my hometown. Paid taxes there for 30 years-still pay on my rental property there--so I guess I can come back with head held high. Some people, I believe, interpeted some of my post incorrectly (regarding Appleton). So to make a FINAL statement in regards to Appleton: It is Not a bad place. Most people who live there, Love it. At one time I loved it. Through the years living there, I have seen a transformation of the city. And to me--the transformation has not been acceptable. And so I choose to live elsewhwere. It's that simple.
