I"m thinking a tank heater is a device you install on your car. You connect it to your heater hose and plug it in to an electrical outlet over night and it keeps the water in your radiator warm so in the morning your car starts easier and you have instant heat. That would come in mighty handy up in that part of the country in the winter...brrrr

As I have been looking at homes in Duluth, I see that phrase "tank heater" used quite often. I thought it had something to do with something that keeps the car engine warm as it's associated with homes that do not have garages. Here we have block heaters but that's part of the car, not part of the house....I have no idea what it means.

Maybe it's a septic tank heater to keep the septic field from freezing?

Default Superior Res

Hello,
I have a home situated on Lake Superior in Superior. Now is the right time to look at homes on the waterfront or very near. About a mile north of me about 10 new condos just went up and are selling for big bucks with the lake and marina view. south of me is a big old mobile home park that is very rundown but just got sold for $4M. We think someone is going to put up condos there too since it overlooks Wisconsin Point. many properties are rising in price that are next to the lake and many are still priced affordable. Bad news is the rising property taxes here and the Gov wants to increase gasoline fuel taxes again. Not good for the rural commuter. All in all, I would not trade the environment for what I came from which is Las Vegas/ So. Cal.
