The state early intervention program which is called WEAP (Wisconsin Early Autism Project) is excellent. I worked for them as a line therapist for a time. Unfortunately it can take up to 2 years to even get into the program. I worked as a special education teacher here in SE WI for almost 20 years and I believe that most of the public school spec. ed. teachers have received training in working with children with autism. I know for a fact that Waukesha has good special education programs in it's schools. PM me if you would like more info!

Default Hello

I actually am living in Wisconsin but going to school downtown Chicago for Applied Behavior Analysis to work with children with autism and other developmental disorders. I am not sure if you are looking into any private in home therpay, or where you are looking to move in Wisconsin, but I would be happy to talk to you about this. I am not aware of any great orgainzations besides Wisconsin Early Autism Project, which does take a long time to get into, but until then I know you could find private therapists to work on things in your home. Let me know if there is anything else I could do to help you.
