Default Official thread for Wisconsin residents who own lake property

Keep Wisconsin clean

For research purposes, we are only interested in full time Wisconsin residents posting here who own prime property/lake property in upper Wisconsin. We will be organizing a Wisconsin Landowners forum at a later date which will include property owners from other states. For now, please use this thread for all discussions relating to land ownership, home ownership, vacation home rentals, etc.

Thank you
the fonz

I'm from Lacrosse living in Kenosha area now. My wife and I own acerage and a cabin style house up in Adams. It's a nice relaxing retreit from the SE part of the state. Great fishing and hunting. It's no mansion but we're told it's considered "prime" due to the secluded location and a lake view. We've rented it out a few times and have had very few problems other than people leave their trash behind. Not always Illinois or Michigan visitors though. I see still a majority of Wisconsin residents and more so lately.

I rent some other Wisconsinites' lake property by the day, just like 98% of all Illinois tourists do.

My uncle is originally from Whitewater and owns a home in Eagle right on the lake. Fun for waterskiing in summer and ice fishing in winter.
