Paddock Lake? (Kenosha, Lake Geneva: middle-class, house prices, buyers)

Small little community--nice area--between Kenosha and Lake Geneva, WI
Don't know much about the school systems, but most in southern Wisconsin are quite good. Basically a middle-class community, lots of cottages for the Illinois people--I'd suggest you go to a "Wisconsin" website and look up small communities in Wisconsin. Good luck.

We lived in Paddock Lake for 8 years. It's an okay town. There is not a real downtown area, just a 4 lane highway going through. The schools are good. Property taxes high and house prices rising. A lot of summer cottages converted to year-round homes. We sold a 1270 sq. ft. house (no basement)in 2002 for $107,000. The buyers sold it 2 years later for $135,000. It's not a bad town. Just not much going on.
