Montello Wisconsin--21 sex offenders? (Green Bay, Appleton: school, moving to, friend)

I was looking into moving to Montello, but my realtor showed me the sex offender list for Montello. There are twenty-one sex offenders in Montello, a town of less than 1400 citizens. That's a ratio of 1 out of every 71 residents. And more than half of them are child molesters. This very website has the same information (http://www.city-data.com/so/so-Montello-Wisconsin.html). How can anyone raise kids there? I would be terrified.

According to our research there were 241 registered sex offenders living in Appleton, Wisconsin in early 2007.
The ratio of number of residents in Appleton to the number of sex offenders is 291 to 1.

The above is from this site as well. Remember, Green Bay pretty much outlawed having sex offenders living within their city limits a few months ago, so they all had to go somewhere. Unfortunately, all the other towns are paying the price.

I know in our area there are about 23. Two of them are on there that went to school with my daughter. They were found guilty of having sex with their girlfriends who were underage. Yes, I know that makes them guilty but I am not afraid that they live by me.

You have other options. Westfield is just a few minutes away and we only have 4 the last time I checked.

Montello is the county seat so most of those pervs have to stay close to their Probation Officers.

Keep in mind there is a Federal Prison nearby in Oxford.

I'm sure every town has many sex offenders living in it's midst. I'd feel safer about the registered ones that are being watched than the ones that haven't been caught yet.
