Default Relocating to River Falls

Hi all,

I'm relocating to River Falls. Apparently, rentals are scarce, or no one there believes in using the 'net to advertise. I'm trying to search for housing from Texas and not having much success. I think I'll definitely end up running up there for a day to find a place, but to make the best use of my time I'd like to get in touch with a Realtor, or have some places lined up to look at. I welcome any suggestions.

Thanks!

Based on the reply, I'm wondering if looking for housing in River Falls is a good idea. Is there another town that would be better (keeping in mind that my job is at the University in R.F)? I've seen some adds in the local paper, but none of them have links to a web page and without seeing pictures, it's hard to tell what the place is like. What is a reasonable price to expect to pay for rent for a 1-2 Br apartment/townhouse/house?

River Falls is a relatively small town and most apartment complexes are not going to have a website. They probably advertise in the local paper and then people go there and look at the actual apartment they are going to rent to see if it is what they want. If you are working in RF I would try to live there if you can, it will be much easier and you won't have to worry about a commute in the winter. Hudson would be the closest "big" town, not that it is much bigger. RF is a nice area.

Thanks for the reply!

I talked to a couple of people on the phone yesterday. So far, the only possibilities have been in Hudson...I think students have a lot of the places in RF rented already.
