Default Most interviews for one job?

I'm on a new record, number 6 is Monday. I'm pretty sure it's the hiring interview.

I'm just curious.

The most that I've had was 4. The 3rd one was in Ireland and they paid for it. Free 3 day vaca :-). Didn't get the job.

There was a position I had applied to which had seven levels of interviews (according to the first interviewer) beginning with the first informal phone interview. After the second interview, I had a change in heart and withdrew my name from consideration as it would not meet my career objectives.

Ireland? What type of position/company was it for if you don't mind my asking?

Most for me is three. For my current job. Its a small company, and the interviews were fairly long (an hour plus), so by the end of them I'd met pretty much everyone in the company including the owner and had lengthy conversations with them.

As with someone above, I withdrew my name from consideration for a company that had a too-lengthy process: five interviews plus re-taking an expensive professional exam, at my own expense, that I had already taken and passed. I learned how long the process was going to be in the first interview, and the interviewer was so stiff and formal that I just couldn't imagine going through all that let alone working for her.

Separate interviews, could be with multiple people, or on multiple days...

That's a shame you had to go through the whole entire process without getting the job. I'm glad I bailed out on that position I mentioned earlier on this thread as I cannot see myself traveling back and forth for 7 rounds of interviews for a job that was listed as "temporary".
