If you're unhappy with your work, you can try shifting your career path by applying into IT companies. This will greatly enhance your skills as an IT specialist. Speaking of skills, what specific skills do you have? Are you goo on programming? There are lots of home-based job opportunities out there for programmers like you.

Agree with Slackjaw and STT. The U.S. has always had a reputation with helping other countries. The U.S. is helping all the unemployed at this time and the social services that go along with it.

A better education along with mentors who ingrained in you a thirst for knowledge might have resulted in a very different and knowledgeable perspective than that which prompted this response.
