I get to leave a contract position at another arch. company. It was neat work but I was not totally comfortable with the work atmosphere. My new job is a real employee position with real benefits, etc and the people there look great to work with. I really didn't like the contract work situation much.
OK so I'm really envious with the big green monster on my shoulder I worked as a real estate title examiner for 7 years before the crash and I loved the mapping part and utilized several GIS databases, I looked into trying to get a GIS cert but I couldn't afford it. I have most of the tools already -experience with relational databases, graphics, GPS (sailing) and of course my years of working reading legals and surveys...can't believe how many surveyers screw up their surveys and they had good legals with current meets and bounds...OHHH the stories I could tell. Anyway, congrats on the new job...sigh.

I play viola, and have always dreamed of doing this - they usually work nights (my preference), it pays well, and I'd get to play contemporary music every day. Might even get a gig on television, like playing in the Academy Awards orchestra. That would be pretty sweet, huh? I would also love to breed snakes on the side, which I've already started doing.
SNAKES, why does it always have to be SNAKES I hate SNAKES (Indiana Jones quote)

Fantasy dream job:

I'd like to be a long term product tester on products I want - like a new F250 to haul a new Airstream, all the latest and greatest electronics etc. So my job would be to use it until it broke/failed to see how good the product is along the way and it's failings, how it holds up for the long haul. I'd also include living in a "green" home evaluating new green stuff.

I'd also like to turn my hobby of wildlife/outdoor photography/graphics into a business (could dovetail well into the above - the camping part).

I also love reading books and I'd love to get paid to review them (this could tie in with the two above).

OK so back to semi reality

I'd like to move to a state where I can work as an LPN again and work in a Doc's office (my fave) preferably a woman Doc who's doing research on HRT and woman and aging, one of the most lacking areas in womans health care. When I left nursing after 19 years of burn out I worked my way up to tech writer and did alot of statistics so I'd love to be involved in the research part too. Oh and get paid enough to support myself so I can enjoy some modest hobbies again.

Very funny... I actually love that movie, despite his unfair snake-ism. The snakes I breed are completely harmless, though, so definitely nothing to be afraid of! My cat could inflict more harm upon you, LOL.

That's okay... they're used to the prejudices against them, and have learned to rise above & succeed despite the hardships.
