Sounds like a good idea to me. I mean, if you have to be at the meeting then why not get paid for it?

Were you planning on doing anything special on your day off? Is the meeting mandatory?

Is the meeting mandatory? Ask your supervisor what he/she thinks. I've found that I can miss most staff meetings and actually know more if I don't attend.

Yeah that's what I was thinking, I will just move it to the next day. My supervisor said whatever she will go along with whatever I decide.

I cannot believe that your professional job is to help other people and you cannot make a decision like this on your own. If your day off is for life saving surgery, then go forward. If not, I'd be at that meeting to see if it relates to my having a job, etc.

Thumbs down O/t

Uhh...if it were my day off and I was required to attend a 'mandatory meeting'...I would write it in as overtime. No need to reschedule your
day off unless you'ld rather not get paid. Unless, I suppose, if you are
on salary, then that's a whole different disaster.
