I went(again) to a second interview. I felt I did really well on everything they asked me-it was working in the collections department of a large pediatric group. I know the job-I'd done it in the past and am doing it now. I was told I'd get a call this morning either way. I heard nothing. Again.
I've been to too many of these second and even third interviews. That never used to happen either. And I am do disgusted they can't even both to call you back. It was for a position that was a real living wage-something I could have paid my bills on. I knew I never should have gotten my hopes up. Why do they do this just to get your hopes up that your a good candidate and then leave you dry.
So there will be no Christmas here this year Virginia. I have just enough to pay the bills. I haven't been this cash poor since I was 14 when I was just delivering newpapers for $50 a month. It's got to get better. These employers who pay $10hr for a job that used to pay quite a bit more should be horse whipped. Because they know they have us.
Sans a huge protection type legislation or a massive die off of people (a la the Plauge) I wonder if wages will ever get back to where they were. The US probably go the way of Brazil.
