We were told to come in by 8am which is a hour before our normal start time to discuss the new changes in the company.
For those of you who been in the corporate world for years, why can't this type of news be discussed during normal business hours???
Because they think if they bring you in an hour early, they will be done with their spill by regular starting time and then they can still grind the usual 8 hours work out of you. But, here is what you do.....shut the TV down at 1 am instead of the usual 2 am night before and drag your sorry butt in by 8 am. Sit thru the meeting for the entertainment value, then when it's over, just walk out quietly (if you've still got a job) and go do whatever it is you do until 4 pm instead of the usual 5 pm. Then, get up and go home an hour early cause you had to come in an hour early. It's that easy.
