I will never understand why someone would want to engage in a conversation about the company closing down when we all would be affected. I mean they are discussing like they won't be out of work.
I do applaud you for not having a gloom and doom additude although I think it is good to discuss in a rational and realistic manner what might be coming.

I was too busy running a business to watch much TV but of course have seen reruns. What does this have to do with the subject of this thread?

Absolutely nothing. Once again, normal people logic has backed him into a corner and he does not have an intelligent comment so he is taking a poke at you.

Interesting fact to share

The new boss at my current job was the same lady who eliminated my position in 2005 to save the company money. I don't think she remembers me because I was only in house once a week and out in the field the rest of the week.

But we cross paths yesterday and she smiled and spoke first and then we ran into each other again at the elevator and chatted some more. I feel a little better than she knows who I am now unlike 2005

Actually it is from the Broadway show "A Chorus Line", but it can be used for "Ode To Grasshopper".

It certainly fits his view of himself.

They either live for drama or they are worried, and need comfort and advice in case it's true.

Has it occurred to you that she has been brought back in to clean house once again?

From everything you have written about to see the return of someone who was brought in to eliminate jobs and save money in the past is not a good thing.
