Where I used to work, you did not get sick pay until you were off sick for three consecutive days, then you could start using sick leave, but you needed a note. So, if you had a cold, it was just as well to go to work as stay home.

I have not been sick for awhile, good thing too, because I heard that recently they were looking at our acrued SL, and anyone with less than 80 hours was put on a "list". So, if you are using your "benefits" you are going to be in trouble...
