LOL... customer service and clerical office work are the "happiest jobs"...yeah right.

The happiest job in America is probably the one held by the clueless twits who get paid to crap out these ridiculous "top 10" lists.

Customer Service #2? Education, with its insanely high burnout and turnover rates #3? Legal, with all the miserable attorneys and support staff out there who regret ever getting into the field? That list is straight-up crazy.

Customer Service??? Can't buy that one. The happiest jobs in America have got to be the government employees from the lowest to the highest who sit around doing as little as possible and then get to retire with a generous pension and bennies that few in the private sector ever see.

Also, "biotechnology" is an INDUSTRY, not a JOB. You can do a lot of different stuff in biotech. These people who write this stuff really are imbeciles.

I actually enjoyed doing customer service when I did fast food and even got a $30 tip once! As far as I'm concerned, helping people is what I enjoy the most about my present job.

You would think so but from my experience working in a city government office that payed extremely well and had a generous benefit package, my coworkers were some of the most miserable employees around. I now work in higher education and most of my colleagues seem to love their jobs and are happy.

I read the Yahoo in the link title and passed...as usual I'm sure it's some kind of drivel. it's amazing what they put up on their home pages over there regarding work, careers, and money.

Education: not in Wisconsin or New Jersey. I expect to see a large exodus of teachers from those States.
