I think I got it stolen and was wondering if other people still can get cash for it somehow?

Yes. Tell your company you think it was stolen and they'll put a stop payment on it.

One time I was emptying my office trash can and realized I'd shredded my paycheck and one time threw out my tax return.

I did but then all the managers are gone from the store at this time and the person in the front desk said I'll have to talk to the managers.

Don't you work for Kroger? There should be some kind of employee line you can call. That's what I had to do for Abercrombie, since the home office issues the checks and not the individual store.

A bank is supposed to always confirm the identity of the customer presenting the check before they cash it. If they cash the check for the wrong person that is their fault. The bank and your employer should be insured so no one should be out any money.

It may take a little while to get you a new check though. Look everywhere before you report it missing.

Thank you. They never told me about the employee line number so I called 800-Krogers but it says it's not a time of operation.

Did you sign the check? If you signed it, the bearer of the check can cash it. Unless, you wrote "For Deposit Only" above your signature, the bearer of the check can cash it.

If you didn't sign it, don't worry too much. Unless, someone forge your signature...

Yes I didn't sign it and that's exactly what I'm worried that someone would do.
