What job is this?
I also disagree with most of the comments here. I assume that your job might be a professional environment. And yes, we are all human. But as alphamale suggested, your feelings about your evaluation, as well as your boss's opinion of what ethnic group resembles what, have no place in a professional environment. After-hours, maybe at Fridays, or later at home, we can let our political correctness down and laugh it off. But not in mixed company at work, when the chat and focus should be job related.

Interesting how in comedy clubs, racial stereotyping is funny. Why is that?

Personally I don't find jokes about race funny in any environment, not because they're un-PC but because they're tired, overused and cliched.

Again, there's a difference between an off-the-wall comment about how Peter thought everyone looked like Jackie Chan in an episode of family guy that you watched together and oh my god whitey said something that could possibly be construed as racist, and now I'm going to quit somebody call the whambulance.

Discussing a Family Guy episode that you watched together while you are at work is probably not the greatest idea in the world. Threatening to quit your job because your interpretation of said Family Guy episode was different than your manager and that means he's racist... hilarious. That white people have never oppressed other white people in the last two hundred years and therefore are incapable of understanding how stereotypes are hurtful to some... Well, race blinders are obviously not exclusive to the white folk.

Lugan Wally gave me some good advice over 40 years ago......never let the mother****ers get in your pocket.

In other words if it's a good job shrug it off and get the money.

The ball is in his court.

You do not need to take garbage from people because it's a hard market.
I would ignore the comments that say you should be grateful to have a job and that abuse is part of working. It's most certainly not part of a healthy work environment and there are laws concerning it.
When I was in South Korea a Korean told me that all white Americans looked alike....

Who can I report that to...

But the other manager said in a comedy TV show that he saw, this family went to China and all Asians look all alike. The family thought they were seeing Jackie Chan everywhere. I seen that TV show with him and from my memory, it was not like how he described it. One aspect of racism is a remark that a certain race look all the same. As an Asian person I found this insulting. He actually did it in front of me. Also, the manager who made the racist remark gave me a lot of criticsm about my job performance two weeks ago. I am planning to leave my job because of this. Will this be considered a hostile work environment? I know many of you who are reading this are racist themselves but would like to know your opinion. I have an open mind.
And this coming from a poster with the name "chinamen"....

Do I smell a TROLL?

At least he's not using the alias Jackie Chan.

And people shell out good money to those comedians. Of course it's funny. People need to lighten up, laugh a little, see why some of the stereotypes exist. Also they are a part of the assimilation process so it's all good.
