When will the job Market improve? does anyone have any realistic predictions? I know it's a difficult question, but I don't know what to do. I am really getting frustrated.
I live in Florida and I have been looking for almost 4 months and so far nothing. I have 2 degrees and an MBA. I was a personal trainer/ other jobs too during undergrad and even that's working out. I find it tough to get hired for even that. and I don't want to go back to that, I want to move on
what are the latest predictions and what is the real unemployment rate?
Hard to say. When people hear that there was a big increase in jobs, more decide to resume the search. Since unemployment only counts those who are looking, the rate often goes up when more jobs are created.

It depends on where you are. We have many big companies hiring again in Seattle area, and I am starting to see "now hiring" signs pop up all over the place at retail stores and restaurants. I think in that sector so many have gone out of business, those that survived are now getting busier as the economy improves. Helping a lot is having Boeing, Microsoft, and Amazon all hiring, cruise season starting again, and several large road projects.

Other than your field are there other jobs available that your just not interested in applying for? I would love to move to Florida sometime in the near future but I keep reading all over that the economy is VERY bad there. Even worse than NY where I currently am. I'm not choosy though. If I were offered any job I was capable of doing there I would leave here no questions asked!,
For low-wage jobs, sure, there's a lot of improvement there. But for jobs that middle-class people once knew, who really knows at this point?
Sad to say, but the "middle class" has been dying for some time. Wages have been stagnant for decades while the cost of living keeps going up and up. In the 50s, most couples got by quite comfortably with only the father's income. And he didn't need a college education.
Now both the husband and wife must work, they both must have college educations, and they are usually saddled with a ton of debt. Even with all of that they aren't living as comfortably as the generation before them.
Pretty soon it will be the elites up at the top and then everyone else down at the bottom. The "middle class" is becoming a pipe dream for most.
