If you don't need the money and don't want to burn up all your leisure time, then getting a second job (especially 20 hours a week) sounds like a bad idea.

I am trying to do the same. Get some part-time income.

I think the best option is online freelancing. But the well paying gigs are hard to come by and with a full time job doing part time work takes up all the free time that I have.

So I have stopped for now. After all, what's the point if your every waking hour is spend working?

With a "yahoo" address? We are supposed to take that seriously?

That's what I've read before about the whole plasma process. Not worth it.

Uber? You work when you want and can make decent money if you're willing to work in larger cities (the drive from where you are to NYC or one of NJ's larger cities is not fun, but can be done).

It depends on what field you're in and what qualifications you have through education credentials or experience.

You can do some of that freelancing, you can write articles and sell on fiverr or on freelance.com.
Jobs like writing or graphic design are paid by prestation. More you work, More you earn.
Check out fiverr!

Since you mention planning a cross country move, do you have stuff you need to get rid of? Why not try a flea market? You can sell your stuff there and get some extra cash. If you have a mind to (with some initial cash investment) you can buy things to sell there - but you have to be smart about it. Or, you can buy things at flea markets and sell them on ebay.

Are you in any way crafty? Find something that you can make easily, quickly, and inexpensively that you can sell. We found a clothing rack type thing made of PVC pipe. It cost us about $7 to make and I had several offers to buy it from folks at our flea market. We didn't do anything more than put it together - they could be painted to be more appealing. And that's not even something crafty! LOL
