Keep trying. I've had a S__T contract job for 2 years and have been very actively seeking ever since. Every time I get close, big pharma lays off more experienced chemists and sends more jobs to China or converts them to more S__T contract jobs.
I understand exactly how you feel. I have been with my company for 20 years, and it all comes to an end in 2 months. Thanks to big pharma outsoucing all of the lab positions to India.
I think goverment should tax these companies so heavily, that it would not benefit them to outsouce to India and China.
Another idea would be to compound a list of all companies that outsouce and boycott there product, until they bring these jobs back to the US.

Then you have China calling the US out on the debt. Although I agree, it is good in theory and is what would get the US back on track.
Honestly, this thread is a slap in the face of the many unemployed people on this board who are looking for work.
Seriously? there is nothing wrong with anyone wanting to better themselves or their station in life by moving onwards and upwards job-wise, whether they are currently employed or unemployed.
The handwriting was on the wall on outsourcing ten years ago, when all the telephone customer "service' came right out of India...it was only a matter of time. Thank Bush for opening the door...

yeah well in this crappy economy a lot of people take what they can get
Then they would simply raise their prices to offset those costs.
Yes, and when they do that, more American businesses would be able to effectively compete. Not that I am advocating harsh tax policies on businesses to utilize labor elsewhere. Every business has the right to seek the best value for their money, just as American consumers do the same by buying cheap garbage at Walmart. We the people voted with out wallets long ago, now businesses are returning the favor. As someone mentioned, employees have every right to seek the best opportunities for themselves. Businesses enjoy these same rights, and if American's aren't offering the best bang for their wage, then that's their problem.
