Default Have your supervisors ever pissed you off so bad????

I work at a correctional facility. I took the weekend off. now I work nightshift. So anyways I took the weekend off and I told them repeatedly that I will be out of town because it just so happens my uncle had passed away and my mom and I are driving from Maryland to Michigan for the funeral. I had friday through sunday off. So I got to michigan that friday night. And at 3am they were calling me on my cell phone. I was so pissed and my Sgt wanted me to call back figuring out where I was. She couldn't cal earlier but she called me 3am. I was just about the call back but I had to keep my cool. Then 5 minutes they called back again and I was still livid. Some how I accidently had my whistle with me so I grabbed it and went in to the bathroom while they called again and I picked up and I blew my whistle hard as hell and hung up and they never called me back. I felt bad for the people in the hotel, but I was that pissed. And I came back to work today they never approach me about it. They finally found my paper work where I was off.
I am sorry has your work place ever pissed you off?

What a spectacularly immature way to handle it.

Whoever called thought you were supposed to be there so they had every right to call. Just turn off your phone and call back when you wake up or politely answer the phone and explain you had requested and recived time off for the funeral.

Whatever. You blew your whistle, literally. That's hilarious.

So if someone didn't show up for work and you were calling them and you got a whistle blown in your ear, would you find it hilarious?

Yes, I would. It's called a sense of humor. I'd also call back again just to see what crazy response I'd get the next. Life's too short to not enjoy the amazing things that people do.

Hope you have passed your probation period and won't have to be out looking for another job.

My boss, and his bosses, alternately tick me off on a daily basis. It's all a part of the job. But I'd never blow a whistle in their ears.

Wow, so someone wrongs you, and you take it out on the people trying to sleep at 3 AM. These people paid their hard earned money to afford a good nights rest, but you had to come along and rob them of that. Just wow...

Especially if you might need to count on them to have your back in a life or death situation.
