Does anyone else feel this way? I am a woman who has been working with women in a small office for almost 20 years and I simply cannot stand it anymore. Too much pettiness, gossip, talking about each other, bitchiness, etc....and there's only 4 of us in the office! Men just get it out and leave it go. Women hold on to things.

Work would be so much easier if people would leave alone people who don't want to be part of the 'circle'. I just go, do my work, and go home. I really have no interest in all of the gossiping, bantering, fakeness, etc. I thought we were done with that in high school, but apparently that's not the case. Maybe it's time for you to find a new job.
There is a guy in my current office who gets on the phone and gossips as much as any woman. I'm not saying all women gossip, just the opposite. Men do it too. It's really annoying. He frequently has something or someone to complain about.

It depends on the office. The best boss I ever had was a woman. She was fair and she was also a mentor.
There are plenty of men who gossip at work.
I can kind of see where the OP is coming from, but these days lots of people like to gossip and create drama.
