I voted 8, but would have chosen 7.5 if it were available. The pay is pretty good and the benefits are good as well. I like the work. It's interesting. I enjoy my current boss, but the boss I had last year was a nut. She really screwed up our group and screwed over her staff. So, if year end turns out well, my 8 might be solid.

I guess I'm surprised. If I loved my job, I wouldn't be on an employment/work thread lol Surely wouldn't.

Why not? I suppose if your job consumed a majority of your day then you wouldn't give up time to waste on forums. To me, that's not so much a job issue, but a life issue. Kind of like the tube.

7. Like the job, people are good, location is excellent. But it's temporary, probably ending within two weeks.

Mine is a 10 definitely (zero stress, challenging & interesting, plenty of learning & traveling opportunities, great boss and colleagues, great pension plan) but I just don't like the promotion procedures. Not very transparent.

Still a 10 though.

I love my job and can't imagine doing anything else. I am a regular in the work and employment sub forum.
