This is why you keep a bottle of hand sanitizer at your desk.

As long as they are not hocking a loogey right in the middle of the paper, a small thumb lick to grab a sheet of paper usually is no problem. One should use discretion however.

I have always found it gross, and think it is weird just how common it is.

I have never licked my finger to pick up a paper.

I hear that the use of hand sanitizer is not recommended. If you ask me why, I'll have to look it up. It might be because sanitizer destroys the body's natural anibody making process. I forget.

I've never licked my fingers to pick up paper or anything else. Heck, I don't lick envelopes unless I have no other option.

I've had this happen several times in office jobs I've held and I think it's so gross.

Why don't you just let me stick my fingers in your mouth and be done with it instead?

Another one I hate: when the place decides to have a pot luck and someone is handing out the drinks in those plastic cups...why must they manhandle the entire rim of the cup with their hands? That's where my mouth goes, fool! Pick the cup up by the middle like a normal human being.
