In AZ, its 9.1 and I think its getting a little easier to find work. Homebuilders are building again, thus construction workers have a chance. And some large co's like Intel are hiring. Also some customer service jobs are opening up. The Christmas season will bring holiday jobs at the department stores also.
It's 2 something. I'm in North Dakota, my county's unemployment rate for October was 0.9%. Statewide it's remained that way for awhile, locally it's hovered around 1% for the last couple years as well.
4.6% in Nebraska and closer to 4.3% in the Omaha area. That's down from a high of 4.9% so more are getting jobs. Growth is occuring and businesses are opening and expanding - this is across many industries from agriculture to finance to transportation to medical
If you count the unemployed, under employed, and those who have just given up, I believe it's over 25% here. I can't prove it but I believe it's true.
