I just basically switched careers. There is nothing wrong with the line of work that I'm in. I am fairly well-versed in this field, as I have been in some aspect of it for the past four years. I am comfortable with the knowledge that I have of the field, but I am also always learning something new.
It is this specific company that I do not mend well with. It's a sales organization. That said, it is always rush, rush, rush. The pressure can be extremely intense on some days. As we near year end, I am told that it will only get worse. How does that sound coming from co-workers who have been here for several years? It's going to get worse? Really? I work in an office where every ten minutes, someone is crying out in agony over some stress-inducing situation. Literally crying out, cursing, moaning, grunting, sighing, yelling, pacing, etc.
Sound like a good place to work?
I'm afraid this is the trend in the private sector these days. It's not unique to the company you work for. Many formally decent working environments have gone down the toilet as well. Everything is very competitive, and the burden is placed directly on the shoulders of the skeleton crew of employees.
I have a very stressful job most of the time but I also a punching bag in my closet shaped like a human head with a blank face that I punch the hell out of when I'm stressed.
LMAO at the choices. Great poll choices! Except for number 7-" I need to take a full out run to burn off stress...."
Never felt like taking a run to reduce stress. Maybe mast*384ting , but not running.
