So I was on EDD unemployment for about a year. Currently working on a temporary job or "assignment." This temp assignment will be for about a 1-2 wks total. I know I will not get paid by EDD during those days but once my temp job is over, do I have to "reapply" to EDD? Is it a hassle to get back the usual checks I used to receive? Lets say I used to receive $300/week thru EDD. The job pays about $400/week. I heard someone say I might not get EDD cause I started work again? Im confused. Thanks
You should keep filing for weekly benefits and report the income you will be paid for those weeks. Once you stop the temp job, you simply file for weekly benefits once again and report no income and the benefits resume.
