I'm curious on a follow up...what happened with your coworker? When I first read this, I wondered if anyone knew her personally. What's her living situation like? Could she be homeless? Living in her car or a shelter somewhere? It must have been difficult for the rest of the staff to have endured this for years. That has to be unbearable to sit through that for hours on end. Air fresheners make it worse so you should try a small plug in air purifier. They're pretty awesome especiall yfor small spaces. It's better to get rid of odors than to cover them up.
This a sensitive subject. The op should talk to her & tell her shes abit ripe. Even when some people take showers daily & use deodorant they still stink. I guess it all has to do with body chemistry. Summer time is the worse. A few weeks ago a woman that works for the same company i do went to work & stunk like a skunk. The district supervisor nipped it in the bud that same day & shes now "clean".
