For once TVSG and I are in total agreement. I just woke up from my afternoon nap and am getting ready to go into work... first thing I said to myself was "I need to go read TVSG's thread."
I get here and it had 4 new pages of entertainment.

And if a non offer was your highlight this week, what is the reason to expect any better results in March or future months?
We found some common ground for a change... As much as I despise low paying jobs, I took an $11/hr job 2 years ago, which actually turned out to be quite fun and a good learning experience. Had enough energy at the end of the day to work part time for $12/hr to continue saving. It's not ideal, but it held me over until something better came along. Perhaps TV$SG will have great luck and find that high paying dream job right quickly... Donno and don't care
The reality andywire is being employed gives the candidate more leverage to find something better than being unemployed. Employers understand they can easily bid down the salary for an unemployed candidate. That may seem mean to some, but its no different than any other supply ve demand interaction. Someone seeing a house on the market 9 months will likely bid below ask by a larger percentage than a similar house sitting unsold for 1 month.

But since I have about 3 more months until it runs out I don't think it's necessary to jump at a job paying that amount. Yes I know with unemployment I'm making $8.50 an hour but I don't have to worry about the expenses below
Lunch Money
Cleaners
Transportation
So I will just wait a while before I agree to accept that type of pay. And before anyone attacks me if I was on my 7th month of unemployment i would accept the job without hesitation.
1. Accept the job as I doubt UI would approve of you declining job offers and you may not get another for a while.
2. Brown bag your lunch
3. Wash your own clothes and save on cleaning costs.
