Oh ... I did not mean "whining like a baby" ... It's protesting and getting action from our lawmakers to put an end to the unfair hiring practices.
I guess that's where our views differ. While I think it's stupid for employers to do this and potentially unethical... I don't feel it can ever be considered against the law. We don't need lawmakers for these silly things. Employees are just as much par of the hiring process as employers.

Giving out your password violates Facebook terms of service ... As a user of Facebook, I agreed to these terms of service at sign-up. For an employer to ask this information should be illegal.
The idea of a potential employer asking for a password to a job candidates social networking site is simply mind-bogglingly SICK and disturbingly intrusive, even Fascist!
And what business does an employer have asking to see tax returns unless your employer happens to be the citizenzry of the United States of America...speaking as an American.

Because employers are demanding users passwords in order to get hired by their companies ... This information is privileged and should not be coerced by interviewers.
I don't post anything disparaging on my Facebook and so, I have nothing to hide. However, I would delete my page before handing over the password to anyone. My page is my own personal FB page, and it's mine. I'd gladly let them sneak a peak if that's their concern, but password? Never. That's a bit extreme and controlling.
