I was contacted via email and they claim they got my information from one of their "employment partners". I have done a number of on-line requests for them, but still seem to get a "to good to be true" vibe...

So has anyone here dealt with them?

Thanks!

I got an email out of nowhere from what I'm guessing is a very similar firm named Stewart, Cooper & Coon, who claim to be searching for "executive talent". I too got that "too good to be true" feeling and I'm not yet executive material anyway, so I just deleted their email.

A lot of scumbags are taking advantage on the bad employment market and trying to take a ride on people.

If you aren't sure that you are "executive" material at this point in your career, you aren't. Keep walking.

I got their e-mail, too. I have to buy a book for $19.95 to take the test. I called that number and it also sent me to the voice mail. I am very suspicious.

I took the test they linked to in their email. I took it without buying the book recommended, then received an email saying they didn't get my results. I took it again, this time "cheating" by searching for similar questions on-line. Found many of them were direct copies of test questions for a neighboring states licensing exam. I have emailed the recruiter a few times, and get no personal response just a canned one with generic and simple sentances. Guess I was right in thinking it was to good to be true!

Think I just got scammed to! They even sent me a reminder to take the assessment - guess it was just to get me to buy the 19 book before I took the assessment. The recruiter emailed me almost daily up to this point - guess we'll see what happens next!
This sucks!
