Now I know for sure that this is not a real situation. If it were, what you're describing wouldn't continue to happen for almost a year. You work a minimum wage dollar store position. If theft of that nature continued to happen for that long, anyone tied to the shortages would be terminated and replaced with new minimum wage workers. There's something very fishy about the fact that you're still employed there. And if this is a real scenario, why in the world would you continue to stay? There's no reason for it.

Yes, because I have nothing better to do than to come on forums and make up stories. You can also get your facts straight as well. Almost a year?? This big shortage with the other employee (I don't know much details about it, the boss would tell me it's none of my business if I asked him about it) from 2 weeks ago is the first one since the $200 incident from January. I'm still employed there because, like I already said here, it wouldn't be fair to decide that the person who used the cash register is the one who stole the money.
I'm staying there because I have other personal goals I'm trying to reach and looking for another similar or other min. wage job would be a distraction. So I'll just suffer through it. Plus, my trade school course is coming to an end in about 2 months and I'll be looking for a job in a field I'm interested in then.
You didn't explain anything in this thread except that you "know" who's stealing the money. But in another post you say you haven't seen anything, so I'm not sure how you know.
By the way, the reason your boss doesn't care is that he's the one stealing the money. Everything you've posted here points directly to him.
yea your manager is stealing...we told you that in your last few threads. call your anon whistleblower hotline or whatever. any large company should have one
Yeah well even in those other threads, I told you guys that the manager/boss is never there when the shortages happen. And once again, after we take the money out of the cash registers and put them in the handbag, the thief quickly opens it up and snatches the large amount of cash before bringing it upstairs for everyone to count the money in the separate cases of money from each separate register to count.
This handbag is not some electronic device that you punch a code in to open. It has this thing called a zipper that you open with your hands. You know, like what you have in between your jackets or what guys have between your pants. Ever seen those? Google 'zipper' or 'handbag' if you guys don't know what I mean. The thief opens the handbag with the zipper. That is how she has access to the cash when not at the cash register machines. Why is she transporting the handbag? Because she can, since apparently nobody else there knows she's the thief. Anybody going upstairs to count the cash can carry it.
There's seriously no point in making these threads anymore. I explain and explain and you guys are still saying redundant crap that I've already explained or answered, even in the same thread.

"Anymore?" Considering the fact that you aren't interested in hearing what anyone has to say, I don't think there was any point to making them in the first place.

Really? I'm not interested in what anyone has to say? I'd be interested if you guys had anything new to say, like how can I explain to the boss that I know who's stealing so maybe the company doesn't lose so much money? Or what are they even doing to stop it exactly?
What are you guys saying? Let's see:
The boss is stealing! I explained the boss is never there when it happens. You guys continue to say it's him.
How have you not been fired by now?!?! I go on about what we do with the money after leaving the cash register paying area, how the money's handled, etc. You guys go on about how I'm responsible and I should enter and take off my code and blah blah blah I already explained myself.
It's not theft. Your drawer is short. You gave too much change. For Christ's sake, just read my one initial thread on the missing $200.
It has been suggested that you blow the whistle on the whole thing. You don't want to do that, and you have your reasons for not wanting to do that. Fine.
It has also been suggested that you should find get out of that situation and find another job. You don't want to do that, and you have your reasons. Fine.
At this point there's really nothing more we can say to help you out. It seems like you just want to rant about this situation for some reason. Fine.
But since you've rejected all the reasonable advice we've got to give and still keep asking people for their thoughts, all that's left to do is throw random stuff out there in an effort to get you even more stirred up because it's funny to read your reactions.
