So employers, if you value your contract employee you really should send a contract renewal before the two days before the contract ends. Especially if you said that they would be contacted weeks ago. If the employee has any sense, he or she has already been looking for a job and maybe found one.
Grrr. I'm super glad I found a much better permanent full-time job but I just find this whole thing ridiculous. If the full-time job weren't so taxing and wasn't decent-paying, I might continue doing the contract work but I don't want the hassle.
Now I am also faced with continuing to wrap up work that I already got paid for but had to wait on others to contribute to. Even as I start the new job and want to concentrate on it.
