I know. I have an MBA, which takes 60 SH as opposed to the typical 30 SH for a Masters. Knowing what I know now I should have gone for a standard Masters, then a PhD... same hours as an MBA, but be Doctor Quantum.

Can't you transfer some of your hours to a PhD program?

This guy was just there, when literally everyone else quit. I joined and helped him build things up again, but he was such a sorry manager I couldn't stand it. Soon after the other senior guy quit too, and he was left with two guys who got bad customer reviews.

I could look into it. I know when I started working on my 2nd Masters, I looked to see which courses would count back from when I got my 1st Masters & yes, a few courses did count, so that saved me a little time. I'm sure a few courses would count towards aaaa PhD, but honestly, I've been going to school my whole life since 3 yrs old in pre-school, except for abut 4 1/2 years out of my life & I'm getting sick of school. There's more to life than school & life is short. When I graduate with my 2nd Masters in 2014, I'm probably through with school. I want to start travelling more then.

Most PhD programs I have seen only allow you to transfer 9-12 hours. Which would leave you with 70ish hours to complete.

Well a PhD is 30 hours if you have a Masters, in Economics anyway.

You can go for a PhD with a Bachelors under some circumstances, but they would probably require 60 hours.

60 hours of classes and usually 12-15 hours of dissertation credit.

Well, for me, I don't think it will matter. I'm already 37 & not getting any younger & like I said, since starting pre-school at age 3, there's only about 4 1/2 yrs when I wasn't attending school, so I think I'm done once & for all! Sure, it would have been nice to get that PhD, but oh well!

Most. Economics PhD is what I looked up. My area is psychology and almost all in psych are in the 70-80 range.

I work in the private sector and skills mean more than degrees unless your boss is a upper manager and/or so called C-Level executive (Director, VP or President) he/she would have an MBA at the minimum.

Most of the time, my bosses have had at least a bachelor's already or were returning to school to complete one, but sometimes I didn't know either way as I never really discussed their educational background on the job with them. To me, how well or not they do their current management role mattered more than their educational background.

I can almost always tell when someone has at least a Bachelors. It matters. People are different with an advanced education.
