Funny how corps don't want there regular employees to be union or have employee contracts with generous severance packages or golden parachutes if they f up but high level management and ceos would be considered fools if the did not negotiate these and other excessive perks.

You do not have to sign anything. You sign something if you have a contract so there was no misrepresentation.

I have my own question regarding employment contracts. The owner of the company I work for signed an employment contract with me, spelling out earnings and benefits and ownership stake in a second company he stated he owned. He also signed the employment contract as owner of company I was to get ownership in. Truth, the company was in escrow, he did not own it and it fell out of escrow. I never received owner ship, and that was a condition of my joining the company, thats why that agreement was written up. The second agreement spelled out my pay plan and benefits Also it stated the terms of the contract could not be changed without both our agreement. The contracts had no termination date and was signed by he and I and dated. He always said he would make it up to me through six years of employment. After 6 years of employment I was recently asked to move to a contract employee status at a 25% pay cut. I made it clear it was something I did not agree with but would do if it was required of me in order to be paid. I need to feed my family after all and being in a lengthy legal battle does not pay the bills. So my question is am I screwed and should I have fought it or is now the time to fight. I really don't know my right's in this situation. …I am curious if anyone will take on this first situation and advise.
