I supervise students in clinical training. one of my students has an instructor who has been interacting very poorly with me. The daughter of this person works side by side with me.
In a conversation with a secretary on our unit yesterday the daughter illuminated ongoing secretive pattern of conversations about me and my teaching between her and her mother. the daughter has no license or training in my field. The mohter has been openly hostile to me and I spoken with the clinical director who plans on talking with the mother's boss.
the new report of the secretive reporting on my performance and covertly using thisis new. the manager will get this report face to face from the secretary to who this was revealed this monday.
what are the laws about this kind of event? I trust my director.
From what I can tell, someone is talking about you behind your back and you don't like it. You have not actually heard this for yourself, correct? That's called hearsay.

According to officials, it is illegal to have "ongoing secretive patterns of conversations" between clinical training supervisors and the mother of daughters who work side by side with the supervisor.
Seriously, you need to talk to your supervisor in a non threatening way, couching the concern in a way that affects productivity.
The only thing here really, is Conflict of Interest. I would suggest removing the person that is your subordinate due to the fact that she can't keep confidentiality concerning her job. Advise HR, your supervisor, or someone in management of your concerns, and ask that she be moved.
The pattern of conduct is prohibited under the Professional Code of Conduct for the organization I have learned. It is unfair, dishonest and is being used to damage the training and reputation of the trainer.
Covertly observing training, using this information to provide secretive information used in a negative and derogatory way would be a violation on it's own. the fact that a mother and daughter team are the players makes the conduct particularly problemattic. we are awaiting the directors direction. HR and ethics officer will most likely be involved.
