WTH? Im not sure if your trolling, trying to boost your ego, or you really have no idea how to handle the situation.

Just tell them you are truly interested in the job at hand. If you have to, pull the puffery out of your resume and make your resume more generic to land these so called "generic" jobs your trying to get. I dont understand how these companies keep shrugging you off because your so overly qualified... Hopefully you aren't mentioning the illegal stuff. If you are, I bet they are just making that up to let you down lightly without saying "your unethical and we don't want unethical people in our company."

Not much puffery inside...I wish I was trolling.

I don't mention the illegal stuff....some ask though.

Most third world countries have EXTREMELY corrupt customs and port officials. Usually your buyer in that country is responsible for taking care of them(not the transport company or seller).
Hell, I even had to bribe the postal service in one country after customs added a large tax(family gifts)....

If a USA company isn't paying off customs in foreign countries they must be letting someone else handle it locally or are VERY naive. If your importing 1,000 computers; somebody wants a cut.

It's a very big plus to have somebody who can push through stuff.

If I were you, I would go for the $80K+ jobs. My experience has been that the higher up you are, the 'easier' the job is. Common sense and confidence go a long way. Do you have those? If so, go for it.
