What are you doing before 11 am?? Could you run or exercise then. You could pack a lunch, or eat before work.

You'll have to figure out how to make things better personally for yourself, the eating, the exercise. If you are only there for a total of 2 mths, lots of folks won't take the time to invest in getting to know you....as people probably come and go every semester. What about your friends outside of this job? You should worry more about school...getting yourself fed before work, getting your school assignments done...
Not knowing what your job entails...I'll suggest this...bring a bowl of assorted wrapped candies...sit this at the edge of your desk...invite folks to have some...this might break the ice. If you can't have it out on your desk, perhaps a break room, candy, or homemade cookies...whatever, with a note inviting folks to have some, and put your name at the bottom...maybe some folks will thank you...Part of the problem may be that folks work at work...and perhaps they would get in trouble visiting instead of working.

Eventually in the real world of work, you won't have the leisure of leaving a job in a short time....Try to get yourself together...don't let a measly part time, short term job jeopardize the degree you've spent years on accomplishing...

Reframe this...this is temporary..Your school grades may make the difference in a great job, perhaps with that coveted office w/ a view.... or one like this...

haggardhouseelf - hmm. I understand here you are coming from. But, the problem is I get home at 12 am on week nights and ake up around 6:30 am.Then, I feel sluggish the whole day with little energy to make food or get exercise etc. So I end up just leaving for work.

coach_b - haha, I see what you say

wildnfreee - that's my policy too for my life. I'm starting to look for other oppurtunities too and will leave when i find something better. Ofcourse,"find something better" is a relative term isn't it? because it might look ok to me but only when i join i will realize ho it is.

JAnND - some great pointers from you, thank you
well, I ake up at around 6:30 am, them make bf for my husband and I. He leaves to work by 7 am and then I try and get some lunch/sandwich ready to take to work and also get some dinner ready so that we have something to eat when we get home. I'm not a fan of eating out o a daily basis.
Fantatic idea about bringing some candy for my co-workers. My school is of top priority to me. So I'm gonna keep your suggestions in mind and push through thse next 4 weeks. Starting january, I will have more time for this same job or perhaps look for another one.

It's only a month more and 5 hours a day. Can you eat at your desk? I always eat at my desk and no one minds. If it's that bad just quit...
