I'm a little suprised that WA is on this list. Our state unemployment rate has been consistently higher than the national avg. Right now we're at 34 out of 51 in UE rate.

I guess with WA probably it depends on what sector of the economy you're talking about.

Completely agree. I suffered as a telemarketer in Charlotte for three years before the stress and health problems that the job was inflicting on me became so great I had to leave and thus leave Charlotte. I submitted hundreds upon hundreds of resumes over that three year period. I only had a handful of interviews and no offers. NC is definitely not the place to relocate for work unless you have a specific skill that's in high demand.

Sorry the list is BS....Florida is #1? I'm not sure where in Florida but in the Tampa Bay area unemployment is upwards of 9%...companies are hesitate to move here because of the education level of the workforce. Maybe in healthcare but I just don't see it.

This list looks more like circa 2005 or so. In 2008, the landscape completely changed and some of these states are some of the places that crashed the hardest.

True pay is better in CO than OK and that's because are COL is higher so it evens out.

Washington is the only state I would go to on that list.

Exactly what type of liveable wage job can be found in South Carolina???

SO what- it is deductible on fed tax? It is still another 10-20% out of your take home.

Stick with your uneducated analysis if it helps you hate on those who do not want to become union thugs

Well considering you can buy a 4 bedroom 3 bath 2800 sq ft home in South Carolina for the same price as a 2 bedroom loft (MAYBE) in Seattle.

and incase you did not know North Carolina has the research triangle along with Charlotte which is one of the banking capitals of the eastern seaboard.
