I'm actually trying to decide this right now. For my own purposes, I'd choose 4 10's, but I have kids to take care of and it makes more sense to be at work when they're at school. Our evenings are busy enough as it is. My choice isn't actually 4 10's, but 8 9's and 1 8 over 2 weeks.
Well, I voted four 10 hour days because my choice wasn't up there.
I prefer the scheduling we have now:
Work 12.33 hours, (it's government, of course there's a .#, they can't round anything off), four days a week, get three days off and then the next week work three days a week and get four days off.
On the four day week, yah, it's long hours, over 40 but on the three day week, it's just a bit over 36.
I'll take it!!
It ultimately works out to working six months out of the year and having six months off. LOVE!
It's a great schedule, since you got a 3-day weekend every other week. It makes it much easier to run errands and set up doctor's appointments. You save your vacation days for real vacations instead of errands.

The company I work for does 80hrs/2 weeks like this:
For me, 5 eight-hour days...IMO, 4 ten-hour days will only ultimately end up in burn-out...
In my personal humble opinion, the ideal work schedule is working 5 eight-hour days, *and also* on a flexible work schedule where the starting and stopping shift times can vary each day, based on the employee's daily preference. Meaning, you could potentially come in each day as early as 6 AM and work until 2:30 PM, or come in as late as 9 AM, and work until 5:30 PM, etc.
(This is the kind of schedule I am presently working, and I love it! )
ETA: FWIW, I do (and have) also worked many extra hours in the office for my employer, when needed...so they know that I definitely don't abuse the flexible work schedule that I am under.
