i said 50k usd transfer to yuan would be alot of money to some one in china.. not just 50k yuan ($8043.75 usd)...

50k/year USD is alot in China, but still not enough to buy a house in big cities.
It might have changed, but a family member who used to live over there told me that the cost of living conversion between Beijing and a typical US city (not NYC, LA, etc.) is that a dollar goes about 35% farther over there. If that is right, the $50k salary would feel the same as someone in the states making just under $70k per year.

yeah, 50k/year is not alot of money even in Beijing. You can't realy don't match with 50k. It';s still better than 8k yuan/month for new college grad and much better than migrants. 50k/year USD, put you at top 20% in China because they still have alot of poor people

I made a typo. I meant to say 50,000 USD (300,000 yuan) is far from King's life.

In Chinese cities many people do small business and it's hard to tell how much they make. (They never tell the truth either.)
An uncle of mine hires 5 people or so in China and he's purchased a few apartments and a house in Chengdu. He also opened a farm in Africa.
I would say the owner of a company of the same size in the US cannot be that rich. In China the "capitalists" are way richer than workers.
