There is a possibility I may be laid off. I am really confused about the "tiers" and just want to know how many weeks total will I be able to collect (following all of the rules and regulations. Thanks.

If you've been working for a while, you will probably get 6 months of benefits from the state. Then the tiers kick in, with extended benefits that are funded by the federal government. The tiers depend on the unemployment rate for the state. I've been unemployed for 14 months now, and am in Tier 2 (now that we didn't go over a fiscal cliff on Jan. 1).

I have been waiting to receive unemployment, filed on Feb 13, 2013, still have not received payment, when i call they tell me my claim has not even been looked at. This is ridiculous...any one have any ideas?
