I think they do it on purpose because they're bitter about being janitors. That seems more likely than the cleaning crew actually thinking the toilet paper rolls are best utilized by reaching around the back of it to pull it out. And it seems more likely than an absent-minded, arbitrary placement, since they're backwards 100 percent of the time. One would expect some variation if it wasn't intentionally put that way.

Am I being unreasonable with this expectation? I know it's easy enough to flip the roll around every single day, but it just seems easier for the person putting it in to do it correctly in the first place. It shouldn't be a skill that one would have to go to college for or anything...
What's upside down to you is right side up to me.

Quit messin' with the roll. New sign.

I think you are being unreasonable, personally. Unless putting it on "backwards" as you say is something creating a problem where the paper won't roll freely, I don't see an issue with it.

I'm talking about the times when it keeps ripping because the roller won't move freely so you are pulling off a sheet at a time. This is a big problem after I eat a bunch of bacon wrapped jalapenos for lunch.

Maybe you should bring your own.

And some air freshener.

Have a breath mint.

In my opinion people who have so many issues about bathroom protocol are overly anal.

I mean that is just grose to sit where someone else has sit and not use one of the paper seat protectors before you plant your tail section on that seat.

On a side note: I sometimes will wipe that thing down with the papertowls and soap provided in the restroom before I sit on them and i work in a hospital where the bathrooms are cleaned every at least 3 times a day.

Saying all of that: If you are going into a bathroom and have fallen in because the seat was not down, then I know you could not care less about the cleanliness of the place and protecting your own body from someone elses bodily habits or health problems. Check it out before you sit down, Make sure it is clean, and use the paper seat protectors.

Exactly! How the heck do are you so oblivious to your own surroundings that you plop down on a toilet with the seat up?!?!?!?!? I'm mean, as a man I don't mind putting the seat down but come on!

When I was in the military, I did exactly that. But here in a professional environment, carrying around my own toilet paper would raise some eyebrows. If I was a lady and had a purse I could get away with bringing some but I'm not one to carry a messenger bag.

I'd like to know what was on the mind of the guy who invented one ply toilet paper that they sell for offices. I guess we know what was on his hand, but what was on his mind?

One sign I appreciate seeing in any bathroom, when applicable, is 'OUT OF ORDER' - before making the 'commitment'. In public restrooms with multiple stalls this is a game known as crap roulette!

I wonder if those people on the stranded Carnival Cruise ship that was towed to Mobile, AL from the Gulf of Mexico were playing shuffleboard with crap bags? Seriously, most of these bathroom beefs are ridiculous, I just wish there was better universal toilet training hygiene, because, we all know the bathrooms are only as clean as the uncleanliest person who uses them, unless of course one wants to to the detox hazmat routine each time (provided there is materials to do so).

One place I used to work we had significant amount of foreign nationals as contractors. Some must not have realized how USA plumbing works and it was disgusting as occasionally wadded up used TP would be found on the floor. I surmise they were from places where the flush portion of the plumbing often did not work or got clogged.

I put a sign up in a bathroom before.

It said "If there is pee, poop or blood on the seat, YOU ARE NOT DONE."

This was supposed to be a management bathroom. I had had enough of seeing smears of substances on the seats.
