Since you were not happy as a secretary I think this would be a great way to go. Looks and personality can help close deals and hold gross.

A school teacher for 8th grade science at a middle school in California was fired last year after the school board found out she was a porn star and was featured in 18 pornographic hardcore videos. Her stage name was "Tiffany Six".

If your future employers find out about your past as a stripper they may fire you also. Taking jobs in the seedier parts of employment sometimes have negative consequences for your entire life. Good luck.

I agree with the advice so far. I was going to suggest stepping off the stage and waiting tables at the same club if that is possible. If I were you, I'd reconsider keeping the stripping job after you find a new career. There is always a chance a coworker could come into the club and see you.

Start your own business. Consultants make a lot of dough. You were a legal secretary and have a college education. Surely you can think of some way to combine your education, administrative skills (especially due to the specialized legal field), and womanly attributes to get a consulting gig going. You are an attractive, smart, college-educated consultant who can help other businesses succeed. On top of that, you probably have the "look" that men in business do back flips over no matter what you're peddling. <<<<Don't take this the wrong way. I am just being honest about my observations in over 25+ years in the business world. Use all your assets--nothing wrong with that. It's all a matter of how you spin and package your business services. And network, network, network....don't let the stripper gig background hold you back. It may just be the skill set that gets you face to face time with decision makers. Work for yourself lady!

I would consider going back to school. Grad school, then internships, won't be any need to mention what you did for money prior to that period. If you have any desire for grad school, of course.

you can do webcamming into your 60s. not kidding. stripping can go into your 40s. a small percentage of men enjoy older women. there is NO SUCH THING as a CAREER. no job is guaranteed. everyone must learn to adapt to the world's economy. don't fool or kid yourself by going back to school and finding out they have no jobs in your field (go read about all those new grads in nursing in america on CNN - nurses are in demand yet they cannot find jobs! this has been going on for years).

take the money from your current profession and milk it (pun intended) as much as you can, all the while saving and being frugal. lots of porn stars have made nest eggs this way, including college age sugar babies straight out of high school.

I kept looking diligently while employed, but I couldn't find anything more hands on in my field. I lived that for about 2.5 years before I couldn't stand it. I quit figuring if I'm going to be really unhappy with my job I might as well make a lot more money doing it.

Now for the past 3 yeas I have been stripping. I don't plan on quitting this right now (it's good money and good for saving), but over the long term I need some kind of career. I am not all that confident about breaking into my degree despite how broad it is. Not at all, really. I tried and failed that for years. Now though, I am not that confident about getting back as a legal secretary. I mean, I put Dancer on my resume instead of stripper, but I don't think it's making much difference.

What should I do? I'm 27 right now.
You did the office job and did not like it. So try something else. If you have a pretty face, a hot body then stripping can open a lot of doors for you. Look at Vida Guerra. She was an accountant in NJ and her boyfriend submitted some pics to FHM and then she became a small time celebrity. Magazines, Music videos, B role movies, etc. Her net worth is estimated at 2.5 Million. You have to use every advantage that life gives you to YOUR advantage. Trust me you are not missing any working an office job. I have been working one since 2007.

If you are applying for work in another town they may not have heard of the place and saying you were a waitress might work. But if they know the place is a strip joint, that isn't going to work.

Didn't know that. I would never get any work done if I worked with her.

Back in the day when stationed overseas, we referred to those of your trade as "Fantasy Engineers"....perhaps that would dazzle them into not asking questions.....
