Landing a job through a placement agency (interview, application, interest)

Does anybody have any experience getting a job through a placement agency? An online job ad left a number to schedule an interview. By the way things looks, an application, interview, and orientation will take place.

yes. but be sure its a reputable agency and that its a real active job that the person is recruiting for. recruiting agencies can be really good or really bad so be selective and do your research.

Sometimes they do, sometime they require interviews. I got a previous assignment with no interview. The agency called me and asked me if I was interested in the job and I said yes and they called me the next day to tell me to report to work the next day. For other temp roles especially if they are temp to hire, I had to interview and these interviews were usually competitive.
