So I started my current job last April. In October they moved me to another department.and today just got news they are merging my department with another. 3 different departments in less than one year. Should I be worried? My first boss had issues with the CEO, and my current/2nd one is extremely incompetent and the execs have take notice. So nowI will have a third new boss. Anyone experience something similar?

Yes I would be concerned. In my last sales job in 1 year they moved our dept 3 times, 2 sales managers, 2 AVPs, then all of us non ass kissers were written up for bad sales, same numbers as the brown nosers, and then they terminated us.

So yes I would be very concerned. Start looking for a new job now and make sure you stay connected to "those in the know" that is critical.

The best chance you have is to be a good ass kisser and have good numbers.

If you get whacked I hope you do better than me and get severance.

I'd be job hunting, especially if overall corp headcount is down. Was it done in conjunction with an overall restructuring, cutting heads and cost?

I always worry whenever there's a re-org -- I'm going through one right now.

Sounds like they have a problem somewhere and instead of rationally figuring out where it is and how to fix it they just keep making changes in the hope it will fix itself. Without addressing the problem that's at the bottom of all this, nothing will improve. Might be time to dust off that resume!
