What about dyslexia? I have a cousin that's isn't really employable these days. The company pulled a fast on her to get her to quit her $13 grocery bagger job. The union rep told her she had better quit otherwise the company would have to fire her. Some wonders the union did for her... Without hesitating, she quit, which disqualified her from collecting UI. Now she's trying to raise her children without work, and her husband has only seasonal work in construction.
Can being a little... Slow, and having dyslexia qualify for SSDI?
SSI, maybe. SSDI....only if they have enough work quarters (10+ years of work history).
One of the downsides to this is that it could actually hurt your chances of finding jobs if you are looking,as it's something 'negative' on your record and they could use it against you.
